Southern Sky from Kitt Peak

This image was captured from atop the Bok Telescope at Kitt Peak in Arizona in June 2008. Light pollution from Tuscon (on the left) and Nogales (center) can be seen. In the sky the Milky Way, including dust trails, can be seen spanning from the lower right to the upper left. The constellation Scorpio is is partial covered by the person on the right (T. Eldredge) with the stinger near her left ear. Jupiter can also be seen near the head person on the left.
