    The Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars program is a free interactive online science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning experience highlighted by a seven-day residential summer academy at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.

  • This meeting, sponsored by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific
 in partnership with the Geological Society of America
, will take place July 31-August 4, 2010
 at the University of Colorado in Boulder. It will focus on education and outreach in Earth and Space Science at many levels and settings.

  • NESTA is actively searching for a member in good standing to become the next Membership Coordinator. The Membership Coordinator is primarily responsible for maintaining NESTA’s membership rolls. The Coordinator must have a computer, internet access and be able to use a database program. We presently use FileMaker Pro. The Membership Coordinator will work closely with the NESTA Treasurer.

    IPY STEM Polar Connections: Summer 2010 Institute

    Summer 2010 Institute, University of Massachusetts Amherst, 12-16 July 2010;

    The 4th International Polar Year (IPY) ran from March 2007 to March 2009, and focused international scientific and educational attention on the Earth's Polar Regions.
