Join NESTA and become part of the premiere professional association dedicated to the improvement of Earth Science education at the K-12 levels. NESTA is an organization made up of and governed by classroom teachers. NESTA extends its influence through its association with other professional associations. We accomplish this through:

The USGS and Japanese seismologists both upgraded the magnitude of Japan's March 11, 2011 quake to 9.0 on March 14.

A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, on 3/11/11 at 02:46:23 PM local time at the epicenter.
