  1. Don’t Forget to Vote!
    It's election time! NESTA is electing Regional Directors for Regions II, IV, VI, and VIII plus 2 Directors-at-Large to be voted on by the full membership. Check your inbox for your personal ballot and vote TODAY! The election closes Monday, March 6, 2017 so don't delay! Make your vote count and be part of NESTA's exciting future!
  2. Present at the OESTA Share-a-Thon
    If in your career, you have been recognized with an OESTA, and you plan to attend the NSTA National Conference in LA, please consider presenting at the Share-a-Thon that NESTA has set up, expressly for winners of Excellence in Earth Science Teaching awards, where you can share your expertise with other K-12 Earth Science Teachers. If you sign up, you will be recognized as a presenter on NSTA’s online session browser.

    So, if you are going to be in LA, on Thursday, March 30, 2017, 03:30 PM - 04:30 PM Please join more than 20 OESTA winners as they share their favorite NGSS-congruent classroom activities. Lots of free handouts!
  3. Silent Auction Donations for the Friends of Earth Science Reception requested
    This year at the NSTA Conference for Science Education in Los Angeles, California on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, NESTA will again be hosting a Friends of Earth Science Reception. It will be held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE, Platinum Ballroom Salon C. As part of the festivities we will be holding a Silent Auction. If you have something special you would like to donate (a rock, mineral, fossil, or something special that is science oriented) please contact Cheryl Manning at clbmanning@mac.com to make arrangements.
