Earth and Space Science Resource Day
Earth Science Resource Day at the National NSTA Conference on Science Education is a perfect professional development day for an Earth Science educator. The day begins with a breakfast, followed by a Share-a-thon, speakers, our famous Rock and Mineral Raffle, and our Annual NESTA Membership Meeting.
The low cost but hearty breakfast takes place in one of the conference hotels, and participants are treated to a talk by a renowned Earth scientist. There is usually a Share-a-Thon where you could walk away with approximately 25 new and ready-to-use exemplary lessons, labs, and activities. See the description on this page for more details and to learn how you can be a Share-a-Thon presenter.
During the day listen to 3 different talks by Earth scientists who share their cutting-edge research. These talks are followed by our famous Rock and Mineral Raffle where hundreds of specimens are yours if you have the lucky tickets. See the description on this page for more details and to learn how to donate specimens to this event.
Following the Rock Raffle, NESTA members may participate in the Annual NESTA Membership Meeting where they will hear first hand the latest news from the NESTA Executive Board, and join in the discussion about the future of NESTA. Check back closer to the date of the conference to learn about the details of the next NESTA Earth Science Resource Day or register for the NESTA Earth Science Resource Day breakfast.
