The National Earth Science Teachers Association is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) professional educational organization, founded in 1983, whose purpose is the advancement, stimulation, extension, improvement, and coordination of Earth Science education at all educational levels. We welcome new members, and offer numerous benefits to membership. We believe that the Earth Sciences are unique among the sciences, offering unparalleled opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and application in a field inherently relevant to learners of all ages. K-12 preparation in the Earth Sciences, prepares students to understand today’s rapidly changing world.
