HHMI Workshops at the USA Science and Engineering Festival

HHMI will present two separate 90-minute workshops at the 3rd Annual USA Science and Engineering Festival. Both workshops will be offered twice—once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Workshop attendees will receive free, ready-to-use classroom resources, including DVDs, posters, and more!

Space is limited so please register:

Workshop A: HHMI’s Free Classroom Resources for Teaching Evolution
9:00 AM-10:30 AM and 1:00 PM-2:30 PM
Discover classroom-ready lessons, hands-on activities, animations, and short films to help you teach key concepts in evolution, such as natural selection and adaptation, speciation, and phylogenetic trees. Bring science to life using compelling scientific stories and engage your students with real data and inquiry!
Appropriate for: Middle, High, and College Level Educators

Workshop B: Free STEM Resources for Teaching Climate Change
11:00 AM-12:30 PM and 3:00PM-4:30PM
This session will highlight a variety of free classroom resources for teaching about past and present climate. Use our popular EarthViewer app, web-based interactives, and classroom-ready activities, to travel back in time and learn how past climate can help us understand present-day climate change.
