Child Health Day

October 7 is Child Health Day, a day that is celebrated annually on the first Monday of October. This day is established by Presidential Proclamation to raise people’s awareness of how they can protect and develop children’s health. Health professionals and organizations across the United States take part in this day through various activities and events. For example, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is providing educational resources for parents, children, and schools about issues such as fitness, pregnancy, and childhood obesity prevention.
